Large families: ex-heroin addict, Amandine Pellissard reveals her lifelong treatment

During the Jordan De Luxe show on Tuesday, February 1, the star of the program Large Families: Life in XXL, Amandine Pélissard, gave a poignant testimony about her former addiction to heroin.

It’s no surprise to anyone: over the episodes, Amandine Pélissard has become the star of the TF1 showLarge families: life in XXL. This mother of eight children with a strong personality and unfailing frankness continues to move viewers, week after week. And she proved it again this Tuesday, February 1 during her participation in the show Jordan Deluxe where she was invited to discuss her past and her desires.

Between a possible future as a columnist alongside Cyril Hanouna, her criticism of the police since she received threats of insults from anonymous people and her difficult past, the subjects discussed between the Télé-Loisirs journalist and the mother were many. But an intervention by Amandine Pélissard particularly drew attention: when the latter confided, with an open heart and without wanting to embellish things, on her addiction to drugs when she was younger.

Amandine Pellissard: “I have been on treatment since my young adult life”

Those who follow the daily life of the mother of a large family know this: she had already announced, last October, to be a regular user of hard drugs. One thing that came after being abused by her uncle… That’s why she wanted to come back to this affair with Jordan De Luxe. “We must already identify the basic problem, why we come to consume, and why we consume more in this way. Of course, dating has a lot to do with it. If, at some point, you flinch and it’s a slightly malicious person who takes you under their wing, it’s over”she explained.

But Amandine Pellissard did not stop there: she also revealed that she has been on treatment for many years and that she will be so all her life because of this addiction: “I have been on methadone since my young adult life”. A difficult daily treatment for her: “It’s not much but every day it reminds me of my mistakes. It’s a drag that I will always drag”.
