Large-scale operation in Upper Austria: – Shots from cars of a wedding convoy on the Autobahn

A wedding party on the Westautobahn (A1) in Upper Austria, which was traveling in a convoy, caused a great shock among other road users on Saturday. Several passengers shot out of the window while driving. A large contingent of executives was deployed.

Frightened drivers reported several shots on the A1 in the direction of Vienna on Saturday afternoon to the police. As it turned out shortly afterwards, the convoy of a Chechen wedding party consisting of about ten cars – including a Rolls Royce – had driven onto the Autobahn near Regau and two passengers had repeatedly fired blank guns stopped by the police and all vehicles searched. Two firearms, two combat knives and a prohibited weapon were secured. Four men interrogated Four suspects – a Syrian (22) from Traun and a Ukrainian (27), a Russian (31) and an Austrian (all three from Linz) – were interrogated brought to the inspection of the motorway police in Wels.
