Hard stroke of fate for Larry King: According to media reports, two of his children are said to have died within a few weeks.
Talk show legend Larry King (86) is said to have lost two children within a few weeks. People magazine, citing an anonymous source, reports that King's son Andy has died. The cause of death is therefore not known. Daughter Chaia is said to have recently lost the battle against cancer, according to "Page Six". She was 51 years old, her brother Andy 65.
Chaia comes from Larry King's marriage to ex-wife Alene Akins. He had adopted Andy, Akins' son from a previous relationship. Akins and King married in 1961, and separated two years later. They got together again in 1967, but divorced in 1972. King also has son Larry King Jr. with ex-wife Annette Kaye and sons Cannon and Chance King with ex-wife Shawn King.
"Everyone is doing badly"
"Everyone is doing badly. Larry is really injured," King's granddaughter Jillian is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying. "He was very ill last year. His children all looked after him very well," said the 31-year-old. "He is very sad that he has lost her now." Larry King suffered a major stroke in 2019.
