The creator, Valerio Braschi, won the Italian edition of Masterchef in 2017. Today, he offers the curious to taste his lasagna in a tube of toothpaste.

“In the kitchen, there are no borders and I think you have to be open to everything,” the chef of the restaurant “1978” in Rome told CNN newspaper. Indeed, with this somewhat revisited dish, Valerio Braschi hopes to “wow” his clientele.

In a tweet, Secret Roma introduced the new “dish” to netizens.

The dish comes in a creamy mixture of beef stew, béchamel, nutmeg and lasagna distillate. Everything is eaten on a “toothbrush” of baked egg pasta. “The idea is to imitate the ritual of washing your teeth with the ingredients of lasagna,” explains the chef. At the end of the course, the “water” of parmigiano reggiano cheese is drunk as a mouthwash.

A menu at 125 euros

To taste this menu called “Métempsycose”, the curious will however have to be ready to pay the sum of 125 euros, excluding drinks.

In addition to the lasagna in a tube, you can taste, among other things, a starter based on “snails, nduja and mushrooms”, “cappelletti with potatoes, rabbit and black truffle” without forgetting “the stew of Grandma Elsa “.
