Laurent Delahousse is a distinguished journalist. After a first stint on M6, it was on France 2 that his career took a completely different turn. In October 2006, he became David Pujadas’ replacement for the 8 p.m. weekday news. The public service quickly gave him more responsibilities and it was in 2017 that he finally abandoned this newspaper to devote himself to the evening editions on weekends. In addition to television news, he hosts several flagship programs which follow the news such as 1:15 p.m., Saturday And 1:15 p.m., Sunday as well as the new Sunday meeting 8:30 p.m., Sunday during which he receives personalities who make the news. A great career which has not only been littered with good moments. Friday January 12, 2024, Alice Taglioni’s companion was invited to Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine’s set in It’s up to you. He took the opportunity to return to a moment belonging “in the fourth dimension”, namely the Covid-19 pandemic and the first confinement of March 2020 which lasted several weeks.
Laurent Delahousse: “It was very special”
A period during which several trades were shut down, but not journalists. Laurent Delahousse had to continue to inform people and this caused him a few moments of solitude : “I was in an empty city, I took my scooter I arrived in a building which was teeming with people […] and I understood the expectations of the French with information that we did not control, it was very special. A real loneliness, I had just had my son, my family had gone to the countryside, I was returning home aloneI took the scooter again after the newspaper in a still empty Paris”. A particularly complicated moment for him given that his partner, the actress Alice Taglioni had just given birth to Lino, the couple’s second son after the arrival of Swan in 2016. As a reminder, Laurent Delahousse was already the father of two children born from his previous union with Florence Kieffer: Liv-Helen, born in 2005, and Sacha, in 2008. A large blended family which accentuated the loneliness felt by the journalist during this confinement.
