Laurent Karila, the psychiatrist of the show It starts today for seven years now on France 2 is revealed. On the occasion of the release of his book Doctor: addict or not? published by HarperCollins, on January 24, the doctor specializing in addiction revealed in the columns of France Sunday practicing a completely different profession on the side related to music : “In parallel with my job as a psychiatrist, I have already written the lyrics for three albums for a hard rock band. I interview artists for the Radio Metal webzine.”
In addition to his surprising confidences, Laurent Karila spoke of his relationship with Faustine Bollaert who presents It starts today : “Faustine is a wonderful woman! We don’t hang out much off camera, but we get along really well. ” The psychiatrist notably revealed that he had known the host’s husband before meeting her: “And then I had the opportunity to meet her husband (Maxime ChattamEditor’s note), before knowing her. We are both fans of metal music and we met at Hellfest!”

The show It starts today is known for collecting very moving and very difficult to hear. Stories which affect the presenter on a daily basis of the show, Faustine Bollaert. In the columns of TV Magazinelast December, the host confided that she could count on her husband, Maxime Chattam, to help her take time for herself after filming : “Sometimes, yes, I get hit by stories in the face. For example, it took me two weeks to get out of my prime time on school bullying“ The journalist then explained: “One evening, my husband alerted me: ‘You’re in shock, you need to come down and talk about it.'” Faustine Bollaert had also revealed that she was seeing a psychologist: “There are topics that resonate with my own life or that touch me more than others. I can’t talk about it on set, so I do it with him. It allows me to be at peace with myself and it’s intellectually exciting.”
