LE FIGARO INFO – The boss of the mutual banking group will leave his post before the end of the year.

As revealed by lefigaro.fr on Saturday, the chairman of the management board of BPCE, Laurent Mignon, has decided to leave the group where he will have spent fourteen years of his career. Management of the Wendel investment holding company, of which he will become Chairman of the Management Board no later than 1er next January.

Laurent Mignon has chosen not to seek a new mandate next year at BPCE, the head of the group formed by the Banques Populaires, the Caisses d’Epargne and Natixis. At 58, the boss gives himself the possibility of a new start. After investment banking at Indosuez or Oddo, insurance at AGF, investment banking at Natixis and universal local banking at BPCE, he wants to explore another area of ​​finance, investment.
