Le Blanc-Mesnil: the IGPN seized after a fight between a policeman and another man

The Paris police headquarters seized the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN) after the broadcast, on social networks, of a video showing a fight between a police officer and a young man in a building hall in Blanc -Mesnil, in Seine-Saint-Denis (93).

“The prefect of police seized the IGPN for the purpose of establishing the circumstances in which the facts shown by these images occurred”, thus communicated theat the Paris police headquarters (PP) this Tuesday, April 19, in the evening.

For a few hours, a video showing a police officer from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) in the middle of a fight with another man in a building hall has been looping on social networks.

On the two men, the two can be seen punching each other, locked in the lobby of a building, while another armed police officer blocks the entrance, without anyone being allowed to intervene.

Even the witness of the scene – author of the video – finds himself systematically pushed back, so that he cannot film the blows exchanged.

“What’s this ? What are you telling me ? Already we let a tete-a-tete and you ask me not to film… ”, asks the witness who tries to film the altercation. “Sir, that’s normally an assault,” says another witness.

But the policeman in front of the door continues to push back the onlookers. Prevented from filming, the author of the video gets angry: “Don’t touch my phone because I’m going to go into the building with you and I’m going to break your mouth”.
