While the third adventures of the “Good God” are currently in theaters, is a sequel already planned? We posed the question to part of the hit movie crew.
Is a sequel possible for What have we all done to God? After 12.3 million admissions for the first part (released in April 2014) and first at the French box office that year, then 6.7 million admissions for the sequel (in January 2019), making of this comedy the 4th biggest success of the year 2019, behind The Lion King, The Frozen and Avengers: Endgame, What have we done to God has established itself as a successful franchise . The rapid start of a third part did not come as a surprise. This number 3 has just been released in theaters this Wednesday, with a good start (3rd best start of 2022, just behind Uncharted).
After three, is the team already starting to think about a new sequel? “But we would love to do a 4”, launches actress Emilie Caen without hesitation, at our microphone.
“Everyone wants 4!“, completes Frédérique Bel. “At previews, this is one of the first questions we get asked: when is 4 coming out? People are totally addicted! I believe this pandemic has driven people totally crazy. They want to laugh, they want to share in the cinema, to laugh together. That’s what’s cool.”
What have we all done to God: who are the new characters in the saga?
“The scenarios are getting better and better, continues Frédérique Bel. “[Philippe de Chauveron, le réalisateur] does not seek to submit to the leaden screed that there is on humor at the moment. He goes all out. (…) And that’s what’s great: it’s one of the last bastions where there is a freedom of tone. What are we going! It’s nice. We can’t wait for 4 too!”

No follow-up project has yet been officially launched, but the four interpreters of the Verneuil girls are very enthusiastic about the idea of continuing the adventure.
