Le Grand Concours: who was the very first winner of the show in 2003?

Alessandra Sublet will be back at the helm of a new issue of the Grand Concours on Saturday January 15, 2022, from 9:05 p.m. on TF1. On this occasion, Télé Star reveals the identity of the winner of the first edition of the program in 2003.

After presenting for the first time The Grand Contest January 22, 2021, Alessandra Sublet will be back for a new, unpublished number on Saturday January 15, 2022, from 9:05 p.m. on TF1. Originally presented by Carole Rousseau since its launch in 2003, the show was then hosted byLaurence Boccolini, who took charge of the program in September 2018, following the departure of her colleague on C8. A choice that was by no means insignificant on the part of the first channel at the time, given that the host had distinguished herself as a candidate within the program before becoming its facilitator.

Indeed, the former presenter of Weak link and of Money Drop was the first-ever winner in the show’s history, when launched on TF1 February 11, 2003. That evening, Laurence Boccolini had beaten 21 other animators to win the victory. The participants of this first edition of the Big contest were Olivia Adriaco, Cécile Siméone, Evelyne Dhéliat, Sophie Coste, Sophie Favier, Danièle Gilbert, Véronika Loubry, Alexandra Bronkers, Valérie Bénaïm, Karl Zéro, Jean-Pierre Foucault, Nikos Aliagas, Denis Brogniart, Pascal Bataille, Bernard Montiel, Thierry Roland, Sebastien Folin, Laurent Fontaine, Billy, Emmanuelle Gaume and finally Stephan Bern.

Laurence Boccolini: a victory before disappearing from the Grand Concours

If she was therefore the first winner in the history of the show, Laurence Boccolini never repeated his performance, for the simple and good reason that she never again took part in the Big competition as a candidate thereafter. On his side, the journalist of TF1 and LCI, Julien Arnaud, has largely established himself over the years as the best candidate in the history of the program, with no less than 6 victories to his credit. For the anecdote, Gilles Bouleau’s joker on the 8 p.m. newscast TF1 won their first 3 wins in a row. For its part, Alessandra Sublet had only participated in the show once as a candidate in 2016, before succeeding Laurence Boccolini as presenter.
