League of Legends PBE Patch Note | Update 12.1

The 2022 Preseason is coming to an end soon, so it’s very soon that players will once again be able to go head-to-head in ranked games with a reset rank. Who says new Season obviously means a lot of changes, and we can expect the next update to change a lot of things.

The 2022 Preseason has already shaken the Summoner’s Rift to a large extent, with the addition of two new dragons, the arrival and rework of several items and massive balances for some champions. There is no doubt, however, that many changes will officially launch the new Season with this patch 12.1.


When will patch 12.1 be deployed on live servers?

Back from the unmissable winter vacation, Riot Games’ balancing teams have no time to waste. Indeed, the patch note 12.1 arrives from the Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Thereafter, the usual rhythm of an update every two weeks will be put back in place throughout the Season.


Janna’s mini-overhaul

For the start of Season 2022, Janna will be entitled to some size adjustments. The goal for Riot Games is to make the Enchantress less oppressive through her lane phase damage, with a nerf to her W and basic attacks. In return, the Air Avatar will gain in utility with more powerful controls and more difficult to dodge.

    • Cooldown: 8-6 sec → 12 sec
    • Damage: 55-175 → 70-190
    • Passive movement speed: 6-10% → 8-14%
  • E – Eye of the Storm
    • Cooldown: 16-12 sec → 15-9 sec
    • Duration before shield begins to decrease: 0.75 sec → 1.25 sec
    • Slowing or throwing an enemy champion no longer reduces cooldown
