Curry delivers a record show in the Allstar Game

For LeBron James, this all-star game of the NBA is a very special one: It takes place in his home country. It’s fitting that he makes the victory clear for his team. Steph Curry steals the show – who also receives the Kobe Bryant trophy for a new three-point record.

LeBron James decided the NBA Allstar Game in his home state of Ohio with the last throw and won with his team. The basketball superstar hit a three-pointer to make it 163-160 for Team LeBron against Team Durant. The All Star Game took place in Cleveland and was a home game for James. He grew up just a half hour away from the arena and was a big part of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ only championship to date in 2016. The most valuable player of the game was Steph Curry, who also comes from Akron and missed the record in an All Star Game by just two points with 50 points.

“It’s something special to be here in Ohio and play with the best,” said Curry, who received the trophy named after the injured NBA legend Kobe Bryant and sometimes hit some of his 16 three-pointers from the middle of the field. It was a record for a threesome, and he missed another basket for Anthony Davis’ best: “I tried.”

James has never lost an All Star Game with his teams since the most voted players in the Eastern and Western Conferences have been captains. However, Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets was unable to take part due to his injury and therefore missed an entertaining game with little defense and many shows on offense. Probably the most spectacular dunk of the evening came from the Memphis Grizzlies’ Ja Morant, who sank an alley oop with his back to the basket.

At halftime, the NBA honored the 75 best players in its history. The fans in the hall therefore got to see numerous legends that are no longer active, including Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Dirk Nowitzki, who also had a guest appearance as a co-commentator on TV.
