Legacies: after Rebekah and Freya, other emblematic characters from The Originals arrive in the series

The two actors who played Kol Mikaelson and Marcel Gerard in “The Originals” will make their comeback in season 4 of “Legacies” which is currently airing in the United States.

After Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert), Zach Roerig (Matt) and Chris Wood (Kai), other familiar faces from the universe of The Vampire Diaries will make their big return to Mystic Falls.

Nathaniel Buzolic and Charles Michael Davis, who respectively played Kol Mikaelson and Marcel Gerard in The Originals, will make an appearance for the first time in episode 11 of season 4 of Legacies, which will be broadcast on April 14 on the CW.

They will also be joined by Claire Holt (Rebekah Mikaelson) and Riley Voelkel (Freya Mikaelson), which is not the first time as guests in the CW series.

The Mikaelson family is and always will be welcome”, showrunner Brett Matthews recently explained to TVLine. “It’s a real pleasure to find these characters and the actors who embody them.

COVID and each other’s schedules make it harder, and they’re all super talented, so they’re very busy. But if they can’t travel from New Orleans, then we have to go to them.”

But what justifies the return of the quartet in Legacies? According to the synopsis of the episode titled “Everything That Can Be Lost May Also Be Found” (“Twhat can be lost can also be found”), Hope is in a state of mental confusion as she continues to struggle with her humanity, which leads her to see the people who mean the most to her: Rebekah, Marcel, Kol and Freya.

As a reminder, Legacies is the second spin-off of The Vampire Diaries after The Originals. The series follows the adventures of Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), the daughter of Klaus and Hayley, and twins Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) and Josie Saltzman (Kaylee Bryant) within the school for supernatural adolescents run by Alaric (Matt Davis).

Season 4 of Legacies is set to air soon on SYFY.
