Do you remember the NES in LEGO, released in 2020? It did not offer to play Nintendo Entertainment System games, but allowed us to admire a brick reproduction of the famous console, with details on all sides for those nostalgic for the time.
The Danish company is preparing another product of its kind for fans of retro games: an arcade machine Pac man. It was made official on May 22, the day of the 43rd birthday of the famous character of bandai namcoand will be available from June 4, 2023. It costs the tidy sum of €269.99 and, for that price, it is unfortunately not even fully functional…
Finally, it still allows simulate a chase with the ghosts in the maze of its front face with a mechanical crank, but it does not embed any interactivity whatsoever. Inspired by the real terminals of the 1980s, it has a light brick that illuminates the dummy coin mechanism, and an openable rear panel that lets you see the mechanics and a player character with another miniature terminal. We can affix beside or above a structure representing Pac man, Blinky And Clide in large : the whole bundle can be seen in the images on the next page.
It’s beautiful, but it’s expensive, like almost all ranges of LEGO. If you like the brand, you can find the recent figurines lego sonic in the package Green Hill Zonesold from €56.99 on Amazon.co.uk.
