Lena Meyer-Landrut has had a strenuous year. This becomes clear once again in her current Instagram post. She wants to change a few things – like Mark Forster.
Serious riding accident in August, clinic visits, emergency room in December: For Lena Meyer-Landrut, 32, 2023 was a challenging year in terms of health. The singer also reveals this in her annual review on Instagram, in which she strikes a rarely open and vulnerable tone. And Mark Forster, 40, is also thoughtful on New Year’s Eve.
Lena Meyer-Landrut: “A year full of confusion and uncertainty”

Apparently the singer didn’t spend the New Year in her cold, wet Germany, but in the sunny distance. Lena “taught a lot” in 2023, she begins her Instagram post. It was a year “full of confusion and uncertainty”.
Then Meyer-Landrut reveals: “November and December finished me off again.” Shortly after the second weekend in Advent, the “Satellite” interpreter had to go to the emergency room and wrote in her Instagram story: “Me “I’m now lying flatter than I have in a long time.” She didn’t reveal exactly what she had, but it must have been really bothering her.
“Nice and deep down”
Despite everything, Lena Meyer-Landrut looks positively into the future and can also gain something positive from the challenging times. She continues: “But maybe that was a good thing, nice and deep down and then: think, reflect and go into the next year with new thoughts, new energy and new courage. More authentic. More with me. Back to myself. Less pressure. More fun. I’m looking forward to it.”
Mark Forster wants to “be less afraid”
Lena’s singing colleague Mark Forster also gives a glimpse into his inner life in his Instagram story. For a recording from the studio – the singer released his sixth album “Supervision” in October – he wrote down his New Year’s resolutions. Forster resolves to risk more and try out more.

He continues: “Fear less. Think less. Read more. Write more. Hide less. Don’t postpone anything.” They are not unrealistic goals, but one thing is certain: both Forster and Meyer-Landrut have a lot planned for 2024.
