Lenovo at CES: Four new Yoga models from the popular convertible range

The Lenovo Yoga range continues to enjoy popularity. Now the manufacturer has presented the four new models Yoga 6, Yoga 7i and Yoga 9i at the CES.

The convertible notebooks from Lenovo’s Yoga range are very popular. No wonder, because they offer the best of both worlds: computing power of a laptop and interactive operation of a tablet. Reason enough for the manufacturer to present a total of four new models at this year’s CES in Las Vegas.

The models are available in various configurations. These have not yet been determined in detail. For the sake of simplicity, we will not speculate on every single possible combination of processor, memory, storage, or display. What they all have in common, however, is that they come with Windows 11 from the factory.

The Lenovo Yoga 6 is the most compact model of the four new notebooks available. The display size measures 13.3 inches and with the dimensions 303.86 x 217.98 x 18.25 the device is only marginally larger than a standard A4 college pad. Accordingly, the model is suitable for all areas between school and work.

An AMD Ryzen processor works together with 8 or 16 gigabytes (GB) of RAM in the housing, which is optionally available in metal or with a fabric cover. An SSD that can hold up to 1 terabyte (TB) of data provides sufficient storage space. With a battery life of up to 17 hours (according to the manufacturer), the notebook is suitable as a long-lasting workspace for on the go.

The Lenovo Yoga 7i is available in two display sizes and can be purchased with either a compact 14 or a clear 16 inch. Both models are powered by the latest Intel Core processors of the 12th generation, which are equipped with 8 or 16 gigabytes, depending on the configuration

An SSD storage device, which can be up to 1 TB in size, provides sufficient space. The battery life of the two notebooks is estimated at up to 18 hours (manufacturer information). An integrated Iris-X graphics chip takes care of the representation on the LCD displays. This means that there is more than enough power for office work and surfing. However, it is not a gaming notebook.

There are two color variants for each model. These have different names, but they each designate a lighter and a darker gray.

Lenovo Yoga 9i

The Lenovo Yoga 9i is the premium model of the four convertibles presented. It can optionally be configured with a 4K OLED, 2.8K OLED or FHD display in the size 14 inches. However, an integrated UMA graphics chip is responsible for the corresponding display, which is heavily dependent on the built-in memory.

This can be up to 16 GB in size, depending on the configuration selected. The internal storage can hold up to 1 TB. The 12th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 serves as the processor. Depending on the choice of display, the battery life is specified as between 13 and 20 hours.

The notebook is delivered with a Precision Pen 2 or E-Color Pen. So you don’t have to buy an additional stylus. The Yoga 9i is available in either Storm Gray or “Oatmeal” (porridge).

Prices and availability

The Lenovo Yoga 9i will be available in stores and online from March and will be available from 1,499 euros, depending on the configuration. Yoga 6 and the Yoga 7i models appear in April. The Lenovo Yoga 6 will cost from 899 euros, the Yoga 7i with a 14-inch display from 1,099 euros and with a 16-inch display from 1,199 euros.
