Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5
Available in 14 or 16 inches, the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 is a machine based on an AMD Ryzen 7 5700U platform without a dedicated graphics chip. It will be offered with up to 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 1 TB of PCie SSD storage.

The screen is not to be outdone since it is an IPS LCD in 16:10 format with 100% coverage of the sRGB spectrum, the minimum in 2022, with Full HD or QHD definition depending on the configuration. .
The connection is rather generous: 1 USB4 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 1 HDMI 1.4b port, 1 SD card reader, a jack port and a power connector.
Lenovo offers a stylus as an option, because as the Flex name suggests, it’s possible to turn the PC into a tablet by flipping the keyboard.
Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i
The small letter “i” in the name of this model denotes Lenovo’s association with Intel. We basically take the same machine, but a little better equipped. The interior of the machine will therefore be animated by a 12th generation Intel Core processor which can go up to an Intel Core i7-1255U.
Among the other differences, Lenovo offers a 100% DCI-P3 OLED screen on the 14-inch version (optional), the connector swaps USB 4 for a Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports .
Accessible prices
The most interesting in these new references announced by Lenovo is a price range that wants to be accessible.
- Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 inches: 499 euros (released in June 2022);
- Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14 inches: 549 euros (released in May 2022);
- Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 16 inches: 699 euros (released in June 2022);
- Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 16 inches: 699 euros (released in May 2022).
It’s rare enough to note, but Intel configurations will therefore be the same price or cheaper than AMD versions. It remains to be seen in detail what screen, storage and RAM will be offered at these prices.
