Lenovo Tab Extreme: a tablet on steroids and Android

Long at half mast, the touch pad market has picked up some color over the past two years. Manufacturers are rushing there, including some who have previously favored smartphones, eyeing Europe, such as Realme, Oppo and Xiaomi (whose Pad 5 is among the best value for money at the moment). Faced with newcomers, the “historical” Apple, Samsung, Amazon and Lenovo share the largest share of the cake.

The Chinese brand Lenovo, at the foot of the podium according to the latest ranking by the IDC firm for the second quarter of 2022, has recently distinguished itself with successful tablets such as the Tab P12 Pro. And she intends not to stop there. As noted by the site XDA Developers, a new slate will join its catalog, probably in 2023. A certain Lenovo Tab Extreme has appeared in the lists of the Google Play console, the interface dedicated to the management of apps by developers. We discover some of the characteristics of the device, codenamed TB570FU.

In addition to an image of the product, of which we see the thinness of the screen borders, the list specifies that the tablet will be powered by the MediaTek MT8798Z chip, better known as Dimensity 9000. This SoC is mainly illustrated in smartphones in China, whose European versions opted for Qualcomm models. According to the list, this chipsets top of the range would be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM, the screen of the tablet, which we imagine of the Oled type, displaying 1876 x 3000 pixels.
