Lenzburg regional policeman saves the life of a toddler

The police officer was on his way home last week after his early duty when he overheard the emergency call via radio, as the Lenzburg City Chancellery announced on Monday. Because the deployed ambulance and the nearest available police patrol had a longer journey to get there, the regional police officer was the first to arrive.

The child made choking noises and obviously could no longer breathe, as the media release further said. The regional police officer first tried to jerk the child’s chest back and up. The professional world speaks of the “Heimlich grip”.
