Les Arcs Film Festival 2022: the winners


Discover the winners of the 14th edition of Les Arcs Film Festival.

The 14th edition of Les Arcs Film Festival ended on Saturday 17 December. Chaired by Roschdy Zem, the Feature Film Jury has released its prize list.

The feature film by Teona Struger Mitevska, The Happiest Man in the World received the Grand Jury Prize, but also the Young Jury Prize.

The film is set in present-day Sarajevo. Asja, 40, single, signed up for a day of speed dating to meet new people. He is introduced to Zoran, a banker of his age. But Zoran is not looking for love, he is looking for forgiveness.

The Happiest Man Alive hits theaters on February 22. He thus succeeds 107 Mothers by Peter Kerekes, who received the Crystal Arrow last year.

Annabelle Lengronne was awarded the female interpretation prize for her role in Léonor Séraille’s film Un Petit frères, while Yothin Clavenzania received the male interpretation prize for Ghost Night by Fulvio Risuleo.

For its part, the public acclaimed the German drama Eismayer by David Wagner, which was also awarded the Cinglés du Cinéma prize.

The prize for best music was awarded to Willows, Sleeping Woman by Pierre Foldes, and Best Cinematography to Hélène Louvart for the film A Little Brother.

The Cineuropa Prize was awarded to Skin Deep by Alex Schaad and the short film Scale by Joseph Pierce received the Best Short Film Prize from the jury chaired by director Léa Mysius.
