Les Randonneuses: “Elisabeth”, to whom is the last episode of the TF1 series dedicated?

This Monday evening, TF1 broadcast the latest opus of “Randonneuses”. A moving final episode which was dedicated to a certain Elisabeth. But who is this woman to whom the series pays tribute?

TF1 broadcast this Monday, May 29 the last two episodes of Les Randonneuses, a poignant fiction created by Fanny Riedberger, Anna Fregonese and Sylvie Audcoeur. For 3 weeks, viewers have followed the story of these six women who are opposed to each other as they challenge themselves to set off on a hike to attack the Dôme de la Lauze.

A challenge all the crazier since these six funny ladies are all directly or indirectly affected by cancer. It is therefore this Monday that the adventures of the characters camped by Alix Poisson, Clémentine Célarié, Camille Chamoux, Joséphine de Meaux, Tiphaine Daviot and Claire Borotra ended in a moving finale, dedicated to a certain Elisabeth.

Who is Elizabeth?

Fanny Riedberger, co-creator and producer of Les Randonneuses, was closely affected by cancer when she was younger. She told the site Pink Up that she had lost her mother when she was 20, after a 5-year battle with cancer.

It was a very big trauma in my life“, she explained. “When I went through this ordeal with her, I can’t tell you if it was shame or modesty, but I couldn’t talk about it.

At 15, I would have loved to turn on my television and see this kind of subject thanks to which I would undoubtedly have felt less alone in the world. The disease locks us in a great loneliness because cancer is a taboo word.”

It was while watching a report on an association, and on women going to climb Monte Rosa in Italy that Fanny Riedberger had the idea of Les Randonneuses.

Seeing these sumptuous images, because it was at Monte Rosa in Italy, I only saw light, smiles, joy, life, a lot of humor, whereas for me it was a rather prohibitive subject, which was anxiety-provoking‘, she explained to the microphone of Allociné during the Festival Series Mania.

It is because this subject touches her personally that the creator decided to dedicate the series to her mother, Elisabeth, as she explained to Rose Up: “I would also like to thank Anne Viaud, the channel’s director of fiction, who gave me total freedom and who also authorized me to dedicate the series to Elisabeth, my mother..”
