The 17th season of “Let’s Dance” starts on February 23rd with the big introductory show on RTL (also via RTL+). Not only the jury but also the spectators decide who advances round after round. A look at Instagram numbers could provide insight into which prominent dancers have a large fan base behind them.

Athlete and singer at the forefront

Athlete and fitness influencer Sophia Thiel (28) has built up a considerable following in her social media career. She is followed by 1.3 million people on Instagram. Actress and musician Lina Larissa Strahl (26) has around 820,000 followers. Ann-Kathrin Bendixen (23), content creator and author, has around 480,000 followers on her Instagram account “affe_auf_bike”. Bendixen travels the world on her motorcycle and lets her community participate. She has already written a book about her adventures. Comedienne Maria Clara Groppler (24) has around 200,000 followers, together with partner Phil Laude (1.6 million subscribers) she also has the account “almansumdiewelt” with around 92,000 followers.

Jana Wosnitza (30), who gives her followers an insight into her life as a sports journalist and NFL presenter, has around 144,000 subscribers. The model Eva Padberg (43) is followed by around 53,000 subscribers on “thepberg”. Sarah Connor’s (43) sister, singer Lulu (31), has around 33,000 followers on her account “lvlv.mvsic”.

The social media star among celebrity dancers

Among men, a food influencer is ahead. Stefano Zarrella (33), who shares his recipe videos with his followers on Instagram and regularly works with well-known personalities such as Sally Özcan (“sallyswelt”) for the clips, has 1.8 million Instagram fans. Entertainer and author Biyon Kattilathu (39) has around 830,000 followers on his account “biyon”.

The “Der Bergdoktor” star and singer Mark Keller (58) is followed by 195,000 people. Dancer and fitness coach Detlef Soost (53), who also offers a nutrition and fitness program, has 105,000 followers. Singer Gabriel Kelly (22), who takes his community with him on his musical journey, has around 75,000 subscribers. Comedian Tony Bauer (28) has around 21,000 followers on his unverified account. Entrepreneur and “The Lion’s Den” investor Tillman Schulz (34) brings up the rear with around 11,000 followers.

By the way: Not only the celebrities, but also the professional dancers who will be at their side are well known in the social media world. At the forefront are Ekaterina Leonova (36) with 293,000 followers, Massimo Sinató (43) with 264,000, Kathrin Menzinger (35) with 196,000 and Valentin Lusin (36) with 110,000 subscribers.
