From hospital to physio: “Let’s Dance” is just getting started and the celebrities are already suffering from the first injuries.

After the introductory show, the first competition on “Let’s Dance” takes place on the floor (March 1st, from 8:15 p.m., from 8:15 p.m., RTL and RTL+). But many of the 14 celebrities are already exhausted. The medical records of bodies battered by hard training include, for example, a pinched nerve, a torn ligament on the thumb and some broken feet.

Mark Keller feared surgery

The oldest celebrity in the group, actor Mark Keller (58), was hit particularly hard. He had to go to the hospital immediately after the opening episode last week: “When he was lifted in the show, the strain was different than in training and his thumb cracked,” explained the “Bergdoktor” star in an RTL interview. “Then I thought: Something is wrong.”

His dance partner Kathrin Menzinger (35) added: “The thumb could be bent downwards like that. That’s why we thought: That will mean an operation!” But the actor was lucky in misfortune, as it turned out: the inner band was not torn off, as initially feared, but rather just torn. Nevertheless, Keller has to slow down during the “Cha-Cha-Cha” in the first episode: “Lifting figures are now taboo,” emphasized dance professional Menzinger. “Any contact we have needs to be more careful.”

Stefano Zarrella suffered from a pinched nerve

Food creator Stefano Zarrella (33) also had to undergo treatment. The little brother of presenter and singer Giovanni Zarrella (45) had a pinched nerve like him in an Instagram story revealed on Thursday. “Basti got it out for me,” he said along with pictures of the treatment. The Italian also has another problem because of the stress: “Forgetting to eat with all the dancing.”

Fitness influencer Sophia Thiel (28) is used to tough training. But her feet are overused on the parquet. That’s why she went on an extensive shopping trip to the pharmacy this week. As she showed her followers, she bought lots of blister plasters, pain gel and other products to alleviate her suffering for a whopping 150 euros. Model Eva Padberg (44) is also busy preparing for the live show on March 1st. The oldest woman among the celebrities was repeatedly seen putting her feet up between training sessions.

“As if ten brothers had ripped me off”

Sports journalist and NFL presenter Jana Wosnitza (30) also had a hard time with the rehearsals and had to seek treatment from a physiotherapist, while influencer Ann-Kathrin Bendixen (24) was plagued by a completely different physical problem the night before the second show: her growth “Unicorns” on her face, she reported to her Instagram followers. So that the pimples wouldn’t be too visible on Friday evening, she had applied a thick layer of cream to them with a special ointment. She was also “more excited” than she ever knew she was.

Comedian Tony Bauer (28) has also discovered that “Let’s Dance” is no picnic, even if he is part of the “Zuckerflummis” team. He revealed on his Instagram accountthat his dance partner Anastasia Stan (26) looks like “the sweetest chocolate in the world” but is “the hardest stone” he has ever met. “Even though I don’t feel any pain while dancing, every morning I feel like I’ve been beaten by ten brothers.” Nevertheless, he has “so much fun” that he never wants to stop.

By the way, the stars took care of their small and large ailments together the evening before the show, from which a celebrity was eliminated for the first time: In an illustrious group, they treated themselves to a hearty meal in an Italian restaurant. They could certainly use some nourishment for their nerves given all the hardships.
