The fact that Nicolas Puschmann was eliminated from “Let’s Dance” came as a surprise to many – including the “Prince Charming” himself.

A shock for the jury, celebrities and viewers: “Prince Charming” Nicolas Puschmann (30) and professional dancer Vadim Garbuzov (33) are despite the high score after the eighth show of “Let’s Dance” (also via TVNow) retired. The facial expressions of the participants in the decision spoke for themselves: Nobody had expected that. The first all-male dance couple in the history of “Let’s Dance” was a big co-favorite and has now spoken out after its surprising end.

“Of course they didn’t expect that, especially after the high number of points for today and we thought our opening was really great,” said Puschmann, leaving his quickstep in an interview with RTL Reminisce. The two received a whopping 27 points and lots of praise from Motsi Mabuse (40), Jorge González (53) and Joachim Llambi (56). According to Puschmann, the last few weeks have always “gone wonderfully”. Nevertheless, the 30-year-old takes it calmly: “That’s just ‘Let’s Dance’.”

Puschmann: “We never said we were favorites”

His dance partner Vadim Garbuzov agrees: “It shows that this show is a surprise. You have to expect everything.” At this point, Puschmann emphasizes that the two would never have said “that we are favorites”. “We gave our best every week. We can’t fault ourselves. We leave happy and satisfied. We couldn’t do more. We are happy that we have come this far,” said the proud parting words of “Prince Charming”.
