Too few points for Knossi

Two celebrity dance students were named favorites on the show. For Knossi the end came shortly before entering the semi-finals.

On Friday there was a movie night on “Let’s Dance” (on RTL and RTL+). For the prominent dance students, this meant bringing the greatest film music hits in history onto the floor. In addition to the individual fights, the celebrities had to prove themselves in the trio dance with two professional dancers. Two candidates received a lot of praise and Jens “Knossi” Knossalla (36) ended with “Let’s Dance”.

Who else should stop Anna Ermakova (23)? After the many points that the 23-year-old was able to collect in the past few weeks, she got a little setback for the first time. The fast movements of the jive were not to her liking: “So many steps for such a small moment”. The lack of speed and the fact that “it was sometimes too straight” caught Joachim Llambi’s (58) eye. There were 26 points in total. But in the trio dance with Valentin Lusin (36) and Massimo Sinató (42) and their rumba, Anna Ermakova caught up again. “My favorite moment in ‘Let’s Dance'”, Motsi Mabuse (42) was enthusiastic about the second round of dancing, so there were another 30 points on top.

Timon Krauses (28) and Ekaterina Leonova (36) showed a tango. But the mentalist’s dance style reminded Motsi Mabuse of the stiffness of Ingolf Lück (65), who became a dancing star in 2018. Jorge González (55) particularly liked his performance that Timon had a smile on his lips while dancing. There were 24 points for this. With Ekaterina Leonova and professional Mariia Maksina (26), the mentalist brought a samba to the floor in a trio dance. “Better than the tango,” judged Llambi.

Julia Beautx (24) was supposed to be lively and light, who brought the “champagne among standard dances”, the quick step, to the stage. The 24-year-old delighted the jury with her dance. “That was a performance worthy of the finale,” said the strict juror in words of praise. Technique and rhythm were spot on with Julia Beautx. In addition to Philipp Boy (35), the YouTuber was one of the favorites of the season. Beautx got 30 points for this “pure joie de vivre”.

“That was hot,” Jorge González got excited at Philipp Boy’s tango. The ex-professional gymnast moved with his dance partner Patricija Ionel (28) as a unit across the floor. “You have power like a lion,” Motsi Mabuse liked about the performance. Of course, Philipp Boy got the full number of points.

Knossi could not “cross the border”

“Sweating, swinging and jumping” were Knossi’s ideas about Quickstep. The entertainer, who obviously had problems keeping up the pace, should be right. “You start too early, you’re not in step. That was a zero number,” said Joachim Llambi harsh words. Jorge González also had to agree. Although Knossi only got 18 points at first, that didn’t stop the 36-year-old’s enthusiasm for the show: “Everything is possible, no matter what body you have,” explained the significantly slimmer joker. In the trio dance, Knossi caught up again with additional professional Kathrin Menzinger (34) and a cha-cha-cha.

“Now the quick step from just has been forgotten,” praised Joachim Llambi, although it was already clear to him that it would be tight for Knossi. “Today was the day when a limit was reached and you couldn’t cross it,” the juror summarized the performance. Despite an amazing development by Knossi on “Let’s Dance”, the “King of the Internet” did not make it into the final and had to leave the show.
