Jungle camp star celebrates acting debut on “Unter uns”

New job for Leyla Lahouar: The ex-“Bachelor” candidate and jungle camper is now trying her hand at acting on “Unter Uns”.
After taking part in “The Bachelor”, she went to RTL in January 2024.Jungle camp from “I’m a star – get me out of here!”, now Leyla Lahouar (27) is celebrating her acting debut. She is taking on a guest role on “Unter uns”, which suits her “like a glove”, she is quoted as saying in a press release. In the RTL series, Lahouar will play the wealthy gym customer Julia Winkels.
Julia will be shaking up the Schillerallee in Cologne from May 2024, “for whom make-up, styling and jewelry are anything but no-gos during training,” says the broadcaster. She wanted to stand out and “be seen” at the weight bench. Lahouar is convinced “that I can play Julia Winkels authentically. The audience can look forward to seeing me in action. It will be funny, but also exciting.”
Leyla Lahouar permanently in the acting business?
The Frankfurt native used to watch “Unter Uns” regularly with her mother and associates “a large part of my childhood” with the series. For Lahouar, being part of it now is “still so untrue,” but “just great.”
The 27-year-old doesn’t yet know whether she will try out other acting projects in the future. After all, she can just be herself on reality TV and doesn’t have to slip into a role. But she “definitely” sees herself appearing in other reality shows.
“Unter uns” runs daily Monday to Friday at 5:30 p.m. on RTL (or on RTL+).
