LFL: Riot announces French Cup of League of Legends

This Monday morning was the launch press conference of the 2022 LFL season, the perfect opportunity for Riot Games to reveal its new project, the French Cup of League of Legends.

This January 10 took place the official press conference to launch the 2022 LFL season. During the latter, Riot Games took the opportunity to unveil his new project which will join the competitive ecosystem of League of Legends French. It is in partnership with Webedia that Riot Games announces the creation of a LoL French Cup. This competition will bring together all LFL and Division 2 teams as well as amateur teams from the Open Tour. The latter will have to qualify by going through the open qualifications system. More information about the event will be revealed later.

No precise date has been communicated for the moment but this Coupe de France should take place at the end of the year, during the fall. It’s a busy week for the competitive LoL sphere since this January 12 at 6 p.m., the 2022 season of the LFL will be launched. In addition to having to obtain their qualification for the European Masters, this year the teams will also have to try to win the Coupe de France.

Webedia also took the opportunity to announce the broadcast of the Division 2 on the Twitch channel MGG TV, the new name of the TV ES1 channel from February 1.
