LG attacks the gaming market with the UltraGear 17G90Q, a 300 Hz laptop PC

LG is slowly, but surely, making a comeback in the IT world. After updating its range of ultraportables Gram, the Korean manufacturer announces its very first laptop PC for gamers: the UltraGear 17G90Q.

LG equips its UltraGear 17G90Q with a 17.3-inch IPS panel displaying 1920 x 1080 px at a frequency of 300 Hz. A daring choice on the part of the manufacturer, since only competitive games could possibly benefit from this particularly high frequency. Especially since the graphics part of the UltraGear 17G90Q is entrusted to the GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q from Nvidia, which, remember, is a restricted version for laptops with a relatively thin chassis. A choice that could however pay off for LG, since the UltraGear 17G90Q will be available at the start of 2022 in South Korea and the United States and then in other unspecified countries.
