LG Display: soon 32, 34 and 39 inch Oled monitors


On the occasion of the K-Display Business Forum which took place in Seoul, South Korea last week, LG Display unveiled part of its roadmap for the coming months. No change on the television side, since the manufacturer keeps the diagonals of 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, 83 and 97 inches in 4K Ultra HD and the 77 and 88 inches in 8K Ultra HD. On the other hand, new diagonals are appearing on the side of the monitors. In addition to the 27 and 45 inch OLED panels already available (see the LG UltraGear 27GR95QE test), LG Display thus announces the arrival of 32, 34 and 39 inch models. The 32-inch panel has a classic 16:9 format, while those of 34 and 39 inches display a ratio of 21:9 (panoramic). The 32-inch Oled panel could also be used in small televisions.

LG Display already equips Oled monitors from manufacturers Acer, Asus, BenQ, Philips and LG Electronics of course, and these new panels should logically find their place in new PC screens from these same brands. LG Display has not announced an availability date, but we can expect a presentation of the first models at CES 2024 at the beginning of next January, barring a surprise at IFA 2023 next week. in Berlin.

LG Display also took advantage of the event to unveil new sizes of transparent Oled tiles. Until now only available in 55 inches, these will be available in 30 and 77 inch versions with improved transparency. The latter goes from 40% on previous models to 45% on new models.
