In order to improve the sound reproduction of its StandbyME mobile screens, LG will launch a speaker also called StandbyME or responding to the singing name of XT7S. This giant capsule is above all designed to hang under a StandbyME screen, thanks to a special support, and act as a mini soundbar to improve the sound reproduction of said screen. The speaker also has two tweeters and two passive radiators offering a stereo rendering.

Beyond the integrated controls in the form of physical buttons placed on the upper edge, the speaker can be controlled using the remote control of the StandbyME screen to which the speaker is associated. In this case, a visual interface allows you to view various information relating to the speaker. The latter also benefits from LG’s proprietary Wow Orchestra technology found on the brand’s soundbars, which allows the screen’s speakers to be synchronized with those of the speaker.

In addition to this advanced integration with the StandbyME screen, the speaker can also be used as a portable Bluetooth speaker. Its compact size of 7.8 x 32.6 x 8.7 cm and its relatively light weight of 900 g allow it to be easily transported as you travel. In addition, it promises a battery life of 16 hours and displays IPX5 certification demonstrating resistance to water jets. It also features a lighting system to create luminous ambiances.

The StandbyME speaker is scheduled for May 2024 and will be launched at a price of €199.
