Available for pre-order for the whopping $999.99, the latest screen in LG’s UltraGear range is certainly not lacking in arguments.

His nickname? 27GR95QE.

The first 240 Hz OLED display

LG has fully lifted the veil on its new screen for (wealthy) gamers. The 27GR95QE is therefore placed in the manufacturer’s UltraGear range and displays a technical sheet which approaches perfection as much as possible for 2022. To begin with, it is the very first screen equipped with an OLED panel to offer a refresh rate of 240Hz.

With a size of 26.5 inches to be exact, this screen displays a WQHD definition (2,560 x 1,440 px). So no UHD, but 1440p is still an excellent definition for gaming. Its viewing angles are 178° while its response time is only 0.03 ms. High-end requires, LG’s solution is compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, and HDR10 is not forgotten, alongside a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1.

An enticing spec sheet for a massive price

As far as connectivity is concerned, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort and an S/PDIF output on the screen. Thus, it can be connected to a PC as well as to a game console. And if all these technical specificities do not speak to you, on paper, it should normally be one of the most beautiful displays and market reactants. Provided of course to have a muscular machine to display games with the appropriate level of performance.

Only available for pre-order on LG’s US site at the time of writing, the LG 27GR95QE is unsurprisingly priced at $999.99. Deliveries are expected for January, and the price in euros has yet to be announced.
