Lhyfe launches green hydrogen production site in the UK

(AOF) – Lhyfe, specialist in the production of green and renewable hydrogen, unveils the project for its first factory in the United Kingdom in order to support the British effort towards net zero emissions. Following the signing of a land agreement for the land which will host the factory, the project is supported by Shepherd Offshore, a service provider in the maritime and energy fields.

If the project is approved, this unit, located on the historic brownfield site of Neptune Bank power station in Wallsend (North Tyneside), will have an initial electrolysis capacity of 20 megawatts (MW) and will be able to produce up to eight tonnes of green hydrogen per day.

Named Lhyfe Wallsend, this factory aims to supply industry and mobility players who wish to decarbonize their activities.
