Ex-Oasis singer Liam Gallagher (51) has found a new oasis in the country. According to “The Sun”, the musician has rented a country house. He is said to live here with his fiancée Debbie Gwyther. According to the newspaper’s information, the property will cost just under 18,000 British pounds per month. That’s around 21,000 euros.
The house is in the Cotswolds in southwest England. The area is often referred to as the “Heart of England”. The “Sun” shows pictures of the rock star running through the landscape. Even though he disguised himself with a loose, hooded black cloak and huge glasses, the British tabloids tracked him down. According to local residents quoted, Gallagher’s arrival is the talk of the area.
Live like a “monk” in the meditation room
In addition to eleven bedrooms, a fitness room, a sauna and a dance hall, the building also has a meditation room. Liam Gallagher, who was previously notorious for all kinds of excesses, seems to be keeping his promise to now live like a “monk”. This is what the singer recently replied to a fan when asked whether the Manchester City supporter would watch his club’s FA Cup final against Manchester United at the stadium on May 25th. No, said the Brit pop legend, he would rehearse for his next tour and live like in a monastery.
Liam Gallagher is currently preparing for his tour, which starts on June 1, 2024. For the 30th anniversary of the style-defining Oasis album “Definitely Maybe” he is traveling solo through England. But he actually has no interest in life “on the road” anymore. “I don’t want to go on tour anymore. I want to stay at home,” he said recently in an interview. The reason: his dog Buttons, who he got from an animal shelter in Thailand last year. He doesn’t want to leave her at home.
