Game News Life is Strange: Max and Chloé reunited again, the first minutes of the Remastered revealed
Max and Chloe are going to have missed!? It’s normal… but don’t worry because the two heroines of the first Season of the Life is Strange saga will soon be back on our platforms. For the occasion, Square Enix is sharing a brand new gameplay video from the Remastered Collection.
In just six days, either from February 1, 2022, Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will land on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and even Google Stadia. And to help us wait, Square Enix unveils the first minutes of the remastered adventures of Max and Chloe. In particular, we can see Max rediscover his high school, the Arcadia Bay establishment located in Oregon, or use his powers for the first time to save the life of his best friend, the intrepid Chloe.
A remaster for a new look
Who says “Remastered Collection”, says “graphic improvements” and that’s good, since this is the case with this new version of this Collection bringing together the first Season of Life is Strange, as well as the prequel Before The Storm. The latter once again features Chloé Price, but also Rachel Amber, the mysterious girl who disappeared from the original work. As you can see in the video available above, but also by viewing the images below, the different episodes have had the right to many improvements, both in terms of lighting and definition, in order to provide smoother graphics.
Also note that the engine has been revised and corrected to, one imagines, reduce loading times, and that the facial animations, once pointed out by players and the press, have been reworked in order to accentuate the aspect cinematographic soft.
As a reminder, the Remastered Collection expected for February 1st will indeed be backward compatible on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players who purchased the Ultimate Edition of Life is Strange: True Colors, the episode released last September, will also be able to pick up the two remastered games “for free”.
