The end of Easter Sunday ended in darkness for many Viennese. The reason for this was a disruption in the Wiener Netze network.
“We are continuing to work on the fix in order to restore the supply quickly,” said the energy suppliers late on Sunday evening. An area in Vienna-Margareten was specifically affected – the failure stretched from Schönbrunner Straße to Mittersteig. Shortly before 10 p.m., Wiener Netze gave the all-clear again: “The disruption has been rectified,” the company explains on its website.
