Near St. Valentin in the Lower Austrian district of Amstetten, a semi-trailer truck caught fire on Wednesday morning on the Westautobahn (A1). When the fire brigade arrived, the vehicle was already ablaze.
The cause of the fire on the hard shoulder on the Vienna lane was initially unknown. Firefighting teams from the fire brigades from St. Valentin and Haag as well as from Enns (Linz-Land district) were deployed. The Amstetten FF crane was requested to recover the heavy vehicle.
