A discreet actress with a flourishing filmography, Lily James proves in Hollywood that she is not afraid of anything by accepting the impetuous role of Pamela Anderson. But where did she shine before?
Available from February 2 on the video on demand platform Disney +, distribution reserved for adult users, the series Pam & Tommy will retrace the hasty union between the bimbo and the drummer of the rock group Mötley Crue, Tommy Lee. The two personalities were married in 1995, only 96 hours after they met, and many scandals have followed, such as leaked VHS tape containing their sextape. Unrecognizable as a luscious blonde, Lily James became known to the general public by playing clean characters, like Lady Rose Aldridge in three seasons of Downton abbey or Princess Cinderella (2015) in the film of the same name by Kenneth Branagh.
This descendant of a couple of actors also played the heroine of the series War and peace (2016), from the highly acclaimed feature film by Edgar Wright, Baby Driver (2017), and one of the main characters in the film about Winston Churchill, Dark Hours (2018), Oscar winner. In the musical Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018), based on the music of the Swedish group ABBA, she plays the young version of the character Meryl Streep.

More recently, the young 30-something was starring in two Netflix works: the remake of Rebecca (2020), whose promotion was marred by the sex scandal surrounding his playing partner Armie Hammer, and the moving The Dig (2021), inspired by a true story and dealing with archaeological excavations.
