The Messi family appears in elegant black

The family attracted everyone’s attention in obviously coordinated outfits. Lionel Messi, his wife Antonella Roccuzzo (35) and their three boys chose black for the celebratory occasion. White sneakers stood out on their feet alongside the children’s stylish suits.

The boys were also allowed on stage when their famous dad won the Ballon d’Or for the eighth time. His boss David Beckham (48) presented him with the prize. The Argentine world champion has been playing for his club Inter Miami since the summer. On his Instagram page The Argentine football star also paid tribute to his loved ones: “I only have words of thanks to all the people around the world who have supported me so much during my career and to whom I would particularly like to dedicate this award, along with my family, who are always by my side was.”

Antonella Roccuzzo is the footballer’s childhood sweetheart

Messi has been together with his childhood sweetheart Roccuzzo for many years. He officially confirmed the relationship in 2009. The couple married on June 30, 2017. He already knew at the age of 13 that she would one day be his wife. At that time he wrote her a letter: “Antonella, one day we will be a couple.” They are now parents of three. The eldest son Thiago was born on November 2, 2012. Mateo followed on September 11, 2015. In March 2018, son number three, Ciro, was born.

In an interview with “Star Plus” Last year, Messi spoke about his role as a father of three boys: “They mess up sometimes and challenge me.” It is important to him to educate them to be humble in their privileged lives: “I try to teach them that you have to earn things day by day. They shouldn’t think that everything is easy just because they are lucky enough a lot to have.”
