Lisa Kudrow mourns the death of Matthew Perry
She thanks you for her ten best years

After the other “Friends,” Lisa Kudrow also publicly said goodbye to Matthew Perry. She thanks him for numerous things.
The cult sitcom “Friends” ran on television for around ten years. These ten years were the best of her life, suggests US actress Lisa Kudrow, 60, in an Instagram post in which she says goodbye to her late colleague and friend Matthew Perry (1969-2023), who died at the end of October Died at the age of 54.
Kudrow first thinks back to the beginning of the series and posts an old photo, which shows the two of them. After filming the pilot “Friends Like Us,” “you suggested we play poker and you made it so much fun for us as we started to build a relationship. Thank you for that.”

“Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said that my muscles ached and tears streamed down my face every day,” the actress continued. She also thanks him for his openness in a relationship of six people, “which required compromises” – and many conversations. Kudrow alludes to the group of friends from “Friends”, the six-member main cast.
She and Perry appeared in the series alongside Jennifer Aniston, 54, David Schwimmer, 57, Courteney Cox, 59, and Matt LeBlanc, 56, who also recently publicly said goodbye to the deceased. A few days after his death, his “Friends” colleagues initially said in a joint statement that they were “devastated” and wanted to get in touch at a later date.
“Thank you so much for showing up to work when you weren’t feeling well and then being absolutely brilliant,” Kudrow continued. And: “Thank you for the best ten years a person can have. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for everything I have learned about grace and love from knowing you.” Finally, she thanks you for the time “I was able to spend with you, Matthew.”
The “Friends” became family thanks to Matthew Perry
Schwimmer had previously stated, among other things, that Perry had made the “Friends” a family. “And you had heart”, he also wrote on Instagram. “You were generous with it and shared it with us so we could raise a family out of six strangers.” Meanwhile, Aniston wrote about itthat everyone has to go through loss in life: “The ability to truly dwell in that grief allows one to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone so much. And we have loved them deeply. […] It was always the six of us.”
