After Lisa Marie Presley’s death, her mother Priscilla Presley questions the authenticity of an altered will. The behavior particularly hurt her granddaughter, Riley Keough.

Just a few weeks ago, Lisa Marie Presley, † 54, died unexpectedly as a result of cardiac arrest. Shortly thereafter, reports emerged that her mother, Priscilla Presley, 77, wanted to contest the will. Her grandmother’s behavior apparently weighed particularly heavily on Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley Keough, 33.

Riley Keough doesn’t have a good relationship with Priscilla Presley

A source told celebrity portal Entertainment Tonight that Riley was “disappointed” that Priscilla was contesting the will. She has the feeling that this challenge is directed “against her mother’s will”. “Riley wants to keep the family together and view Lisa Marie’s legacy in a positive light, but she feels her grandmother’s actions are pushing the family even further apart,” the source said. “She’s very upset because she wants to have a good relationship with Priscilla. But they’re not very close at this point.”

Lisa Marie Presley felt controlled by her mother

Lisa Marie herself did not have “a healthy or close relationship” with her mother Priscilla before her death, the insider continues. It was “very complicated” between the two: “Lisa Marie had problems and that definitely put a strain on her relationship with her mother. Lisa Marie always felt that Priscilla was trying to have control over her.” It was therefore “no secret” that Lisa Marie used her children as heirs or administrators of her trust assets. “Lisa always wanted Riley and Benjamin to be the beneficiaries of her trust and it was no secret,” the insider told Entertainment Tonight. Her children “meant everything to her” and she “would have done anything for them”.

Priscilla Presley questions the authenticity of an altered will

Following Lisa Marie Presley’s death, it was announced that Graceland, her father’s famous estate Elvis Presley, †42, would benefit their three daughters, Riley, Finley Lockwood and Harper Lockwood, both 14. It then turned out that in 2016 Lisa Marie appointed her son Benjamin Keough, †27, who was still alive at the time, and Riley as co-trustees of her estate. She previously apparently removed her ex-manager, Barry Siegel, and her mother, Priscilla Presley, from the trust. Priscilla questions the authenticity and validity of this change.
