The 14th generation of processors Intel is obviously not here to give gifts to users. In any case, not on sale prices.
Alongside the Meteor Lake revolution expected at the end of 2023, Intel processors will experience a much more modest revival with the Raptor Lake Refresh range.
The latest rumors date the release of these “new” processors to October 17, but certain resellers – in Canada in particular – have already put up the product sheets with, as a result, prices even a notch higher than those of Raptor Lake .
Six references already listed
Keep in mind that this is not an announcement from Intel and that the said Canadian reseller is only listing the entire future range of Raptor Lake Refresh processors. This obviously does not mean that the chips will actually be at that price.
However, the prices put forward by PC-Canada are not far-fetched, and it is therefore possible that the product sheets thus published were “a little bit” anticipated. Of course, the processors are marked “ out of stock » (out of stock), but all the expected references in the range are present, from the Core i5-14600KF to the Core i9-14900K.
Remember that Intel does not intend to distribute the entire Raptor Lake Refresh range at once. The first part of the launch will only concern six references, the K and KF series.
Up to 7% increase vs Raptor Lake
Brought together by our colleagues from VideoCardzthe six prices thus put in place by PC-Canada leave little room for doubt: Intel has no plans to sell off this new range to position itself compared to competitor AMD and its Ryzen 7000.

The list above allows a more precise comparison between the Raptor Lake Refresh and Raptor Lake launch prices in Canada. These are therefore prices expressed in Canadian dollars. The increase is thus better perceived even though there is no question of Canadian dollar/euro conversion and integration of French taxes.
The increase from one generation to the next appears measured since it is between 2% (for the Core i7-14700K) and 7% (for the Core i9-14900KF), but this remains an increase and the performance or the effectiveness of the new chips can justify it.
