Last summer, Square-Enix was released on Switch LIVE TO LIVEan HD-2D remake of the eponymous game released in the Archipelago in 1994 on the Super Famicom and which had never been localized in the West until then, developed by the Team Asano. If you don’t have the console nintendo and that the frenzied rhythm of MEGALOMANIA present in Thearrhythm Final Bar Line made you want to discover this role-playing game on your console playstationgood news, the publisher will bring its game to several platforms next month !

LIVE A LIVE will therefore be released on PS5, PS4 and PC (Steam) on April 27 at a price of €49.99 online only (too bad for collectors) with the possibility of paying only €39.99 before launch if you subscribe to the PS+a discount that will also be present on the platform of Valve until May 11. Purchasing on the PSS will also grant access to a PS4 theme.

Many more players will therefore be able to enjoy this game and discover its many stories that take us on a journey through the ages. Once again, owners of a Xbox are unfortunately set aside, too bad.

LIVE A LIVE will give players the freedom to explore eight different stories based on eight different protagonists and set in different eras ranging from prehistoric times to the Wild West, and more. Each chapter offers different mechanics to master, such as stealth, suspense or setting traps, all centered on LIVE A LIVE’s turn-based combat system. Players will also be able to adapt their gameplay according to their preferences. The episodic story format will allow them to complete the chapters in any order they want or play a part of each chapter in parallel.

Produced by Takashi Tokita (Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV), the director of the original Super Nintendo release, LIVE A LIVE is brought to life in HD-2D, which blends nostalgic pixel art with modern graphics to deliver a classic RPG experience with modern visuals on PS4, PS5, and PC. The game also benefits from a rearranged soundtrack under the supervision of Yoko Shimomura (Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts franchise), the original composer of LIVE A LIVE.
