HE WAS FILMING FOR CANAL + BEFORE HIS DEATH
A few days before his death, Gaspard Ulliel was shooting alongside Vincent Lindon in the first series of Xavier Giannoli, the director ofLost Illusions. This is an adaptation of Mediapart journalist Fabrice Arfi’s investigation into the carbon tax scandal. At the time of the accident that cost him his life, the 37-year-old actor was taking a break and was to find the team soon. It is not known, for the time being, if the drama will have consequences on the continuation of the shooting.
Absent from cinema screens since Sibyl in 2019, Gaspard Ulliel had made an appearance at the end of 2021 in Revenge at Triple Gallop by Alex Lutz, broadcast on Canal+. In the spring of 2021, he had shot in More than ever, the new film by German director Emily Atef. No release date has yet been set. Finally he was soon to find Bertrand Bonello, his director of Saint Laurent, for The beast, a sci-fi film starring Léa Seydoux.
