Live in the Stadthalle – Tool: In the maelstrom of sonic dissonances

Many people who are not necessarily part of the Tool die-hard fan base would claim that you need a degree in technical mathematics to enjoy listening to the American prog metal millionaires. But for the first rendezvous in the Vienna Stadthalle after five years, you should be good at accounting. If you want to see Maynard James Keenan and co. in the middle of the front rows, you’ll have to put around 300 euros on the band’s account. The tour posters, which change city by city, are available for a reasonable 80 euros, signed ones cost 300. If you want a signed Doodle poster, you’ll have to put down a cool 2000 euros. Even better: As a VIP upgrade, you can buy access to the band’s soundcheck for around 300 US dollars. The only problem is that the frontman was not available for the chosen few in Vienna – the fact that there is no guarantee that all members will be there is of course written in the small print. Of course.
