Meta AI: the AI assistant that will be everywhere
Meta AI is Meta’s new AI assistant, which will be deployed on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger, but also Quest headsets. It will also appear directly in the main Facebook feed and will be accessible via a standalone website on Meta.ai. Llama 3: Meta’s new language model that must outperform its competitors
Llama 3 is the new language model (LLM) developed by Meta to animate its AI assistant. This is the next major release of Meta’s founding open source model.
According to Meta, Llama 3 outperforms competing models in its class on key criteria and is better across the board for tasks like coding.
Two smaller Llama 3 models are available today, both in the Meta AI Assistant and for external developers, while a much larger multimodal version will arrive in the coming months.
The final version of Llama 3 will be six times more powerful than the larger of the two models released today, based on 400 billion parameters versus 70 billion.
Meta’s goal is to make Llama 3 the most advanced language model on the market, capable of understanding and generating natural language smoothly and accurately.
