The creators of the series “Charges à bloc”, the new hit on Netflix, have discussed what season 2 of the program could look like!
Launched on November 30, the Chargés à bloc series was an immediate success with subscribers, to the point of taking first place in the ranking of the most viewed series on the platform.
A success that owes nothing to chance, since this program is the new fiction from the creators of Cobra Kai, one of the most popular Netflix productions!
With Charged à bloc, screenwriters Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald completely change the universe. After the ruthless battle of rival karate schools, it’s time for the furious madness of Las Vegas where the members of an elite unit go to celebrate the success of a high-risk mission.
But the day after a very drunken evening, the team will realize that the deactivated bomb was in fact only a decoy! Its members will therefore have to return to service urgently, but following in the footsteps of a terrorist network with the worst of hangovers will obviously not be an easy task…
Despite its success, the series has not yet been renewed by Netflix. No matter, since the screenwriters Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg spoke to our American colleagues about Cinemablend the turn that Charged à bloc could take in the coming seasons.
According to the duo, the main inspiration for the series is the action saga Die Hard with Bruce Willis (the plot of the first season is reminiscent of that of the third opus of the franchise, Une day in hell):
This goes against all writing habits, where our job is to set up development in the form of a franchise, thinking about the next episode and the next season. We want it to feel like Die Hard, where you have a Die Hard 2 and a Die Hard 3 each time taking place in a different location, with new stakes, but with similar suspense.
It now remains to guess which new city could host the next adventures of this team: Paris? Bangkok? Mexico? The bets are on, while the hypothesis of a season 2 is only getting stronger due to the success of the series around the world (more than 47.6 million hours of viewing already recorded!).
