Loaded with glue – overturned tanker blocks A9 at Rottenmann

A truck loaded with glue overturned on Monday morning on the A9, the Pyhrnautobahn, heading south. Fortunately, the driver was only slightly injured. The recovery turned out to be difficult. The “Pyhrn” was closed. According to Asfinag, the traffic was diverted to the federal highway at Rottenmann. With drives you could drive back onto the autobahn.

At around 6 a.m. the tanker overturned for reasons that are still unknown. The heavy vehicle, which was loaded with a liquid adhesive, lay across the road. The central partition wall was badly damaged, and according to initial information, the driver luckily got away with light injuries. Extent of damage is still unclear The recovery of the tanker turned out to be difficult. The cargo had to be pumped over first. Only then could the vehicle be erected and towed away. According to Asfinag, this work will take at least until noon. In addition, part of the charge also leaked. The soil in this area therefore also had to be removed. The road itself was damaged, but Asfinag can only assess the extent more precisely after the rescue work has been completed.
