Logitech formalizes its portable console and partners with Microsoft and Xbox Cloud Gaming

Like all of the industry’s worst-kept secrets, Logitech had a hard time hiding the fact that a portable console similar to the Switch, or rather the Steam Deck, was in the works. But after the leaks, place for confirmation and great media hype since Logitech today reveals more information on its machine. And the company does not intend to do this alone, because she surrounded herself with a powerful ally in her approach: Microsoft.

The portable Xbox Series that does not say its name?

This Logitech G CLOUD Handheld (sacred name) even has its own article on the Xbox site, and for a very specific reason. Since it is cloud-based, this machine will support Xbox Cloud Gaming with an application directly integrated into the console as soon as it is launched.

Which therefore means that you can enjoy your Xbox catalog (Cloud compatible) and Xbox Game Pass directly on this portable console. Note also that the GeForce Now will also be accessible according to Business Wire.

The console is equipped witha 7-inch full HD screen and can therefore display 1080p at 60 Hz. It also has a battery allowing up to 12 hours of battery life.

The Logitech G CLOUD Handheld will be launched on October 17 in the United States, and will be available for $349 (and 299 dollars in case of pre-order). No availability date has been communicated for Europe.
