With the G502 X, G502 X Lightspeed and G502 X Plus, Logitech intends to continue not to leave too much room for competition in the field of high-end gaming mice.

And this, while Roccat and Razer have just unveiled new very convincing wireless products.

An evolution more than a revolution

There was a before and an after G502. Following its launch, Logitech’s acclaimed mouse has inspired others immensely, and Logitech has since continued to perfect and refine its solution. This is what the Swiss manufacturer seems to continue to do here.

Available in three models, the G502 X therefore comes in a wired version without more complicated naming, while the G502 X Lightspeed cuts the cord, and the G502 X Plus comes to increase the bill and the colors.

All share common points, starting with a slightly revised design. A little lighter (especially for the wired version), the mice abandon their weight system and still offer the same number of buttons more or less placed in the same way as the previous generation. On the other hand, new optical-mechanical hybrid switches to mix the best of both worlds (responsiveness and sensation) are there.

The disengageable wheel is fortunately still there (without automatic mode like the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro, on the other hand), while the Hero 25K sensor and the polling rate of 1,000 Hz do not move either. Too bad, when some of the competition starts to offer better.

RGB that does not concern consumption

The Logitech G502 X Lightspeed, which connects wirelessly via a dongle and abandons Bluetooth, promises a battery life of 140 hours. The G502 X Plus drops to 37 hours, but it must be said that it offers RBG lighting with eight zones to customize in the G Hub application.

The Logitech G502 X (89 euros), G502 X Lightspeed (149 euros) and G502 X Plus (169 euros) are available for purchase now in black or white colors. Our test of the G502 X Plus will soon arrive on Clubic.
