Gradually, brands are trying to offer more inclusive products, notably by launching ranges with a gender-neutral design. This is the case of Logitech with its new collection of Aurora gaming accessories.
After Apple, which offered users with iOS 16 to choose their gender from among four possibilities, another brand has decided to include a little more inclusiveness in its products. Indeed, Logitech has just presented its entire collection of gaming accessories. Called Aurora, this range “was designed to be inclusive and gender neutral”.
It marks its inclusiveness through the artistic direction of its design and through the customization options (customizable accessories and many colors available) available to users. Here are the different products that make up this collection:
- G735 wireless headphones
- G715 wireless keyboard
- G713 keyboard
- G705 wireless mouse
- 8 customizable accessories
A more inclusive range, however designed for female players
However, the brand specifies that this Aurora range has been designed above all for female players, in particular through the comments of users from the entire community. This collection has moreover “brought to life by a team comprised mostly of women responsible for innovation, design, engineering and marketing at Logitech.”
According to the manufacturer, the design process of the Aurora collection focused on three main segments: comfort, accessibility through a design with softer tones and the use of translucent materials, and finally the playful spirit ( embodied by the many customization options).
But what are the technical characteristics of the different devices in this range? Let’s see this in detail:
- G735 wireless gaming headset (229 €) : the G735 embeds RGB lighting and dual audio mixing, and it is also the 1st headset to embed BlueVo! microphone technology, which allows the user’s voice to be modulated. It displays an autonomy of 56 hours (without lighting)
- Mechanical keyboards G715 and G713 (199 and 169 €) : these two keyboards adopt a compact key layout and an adjustable height for better comfort (a wrist rest is also included). Rechargeable battery provides 25 hours of playtime
- Wireless mouse G705 (99 €) : Specially designed for small hands and particularly light (85 grams), this mouse includes a DPI-cycling button to modify the DPI on the fly
- Then there are 8 accessories like the wrist rest, the charm cable, the heart-shaped case, the earbuds, a microphone, the top plates for the keyboards, a brush for the keys and a mouse pad
